How to Contact Support
Email hello@nerdguessr.com for account, gameplay, submission, privacy, data-rights, accessibility, or security help. Use a clear subject line such as Account help, Bug report, Privacy request, or Security report so the request can be triaged correctly.
Before Reporting a Bug
If a lobby, solo run, submission form, or daily challenge gets stuck, refresh the page and try again once. Many sessions can reconnect automatically when the server is reachable.
Account Help
For sign-in, email verification, profile, avatar, notification, or saved-progress issues, include your display name, sign-in method, affected email address if relevant, and the rough time the problem happened. Never send passwords, one-time codes, recovery codes, access tokens, or private keys.
Identity Checks
For account, privacy, deletion, export, or security requests, NerdGuessr may ask for reasonable information to verify that the request belongs to you. Support will not ask for your password and may refuse requests that cannot be safely verified.
Question Submissions
Use My Submissions to track pending, approved, rejected, or revision-needed questions. If something looks wrong, include the submission title, question text, category, and what you expected to happen.
Content and Copyright Issues
If a question, answer, image, explanation, username, avatar, or other content appears inaccurate, inappropriate, infringing, or unsafe, include the page or lobby where you saw it, a short description, and why it should be reviewed. Do not upload or submit content you do not have permission to share.
Abuse, Cheating, and Safety
Report harassment, impersonation, spam, cheating, exploit use, suspicious accounts, or harmful content with the player name, lobby code if available, date and time, screenshots if useful, and a short description. Avoid confronting abusive players or sharing private information in public lobbies.
Accessibility Help
If something is hard to read, navigate, hear, tap, or use with keyboard, screen readers, zoom, reduced motion, or assistive technology, include your device, browser, assistive setup if relevant, the page URL, and what blocked you.
Privacy Requests
For access, correction, deletion, export, objection, consent withdrawal, or account-data questions, email hello@nerdguessr.com and mark the message as a privacy request. Include enough information to verify the account without sending passwords, secrets, unnecessary documents, or information about other people.
Google Sign-In Data
If your account uses Google sign-in, support can help with account access and basic profile-data questions. NerdGuessr only uses Google profile data for account access and does not sell it, use it for advertising, or ask for extra Google permissions for support.
Security Reports
For security concerns, email hello@nerdguessr.com with the affected page, a short impact summary, safe reproduction steps, browser or device details, and whether any data may have been exposed. Do not include passwords, tokens, private keys, destructive payloads, or other people's personal information unless it is essential to explain the issue.
Service Status
For outages, slow games, login failures, or lobby connection problems, check the Status page first if available. When reporting an outage, include the page URL, game mode, lobby code if relevant, error message, browser, device, and approximate time.
Response Expectations
NerdGuessr is a small project, so response times may vary. Security, privacy, account-access, and safety issues should be treated as higher priority than general feedback, feature requests, or cosmetic bugs.
Regulator Complaints
If you are not satisfied with how a privacy request is handled, you may have the right to contact your local data protection authority. South African users may contact the Information Regulator.
What to Include
Email hello@nerdguessr.com with the page URL, device and browser, screenshots if useful, the steps you took, what you expected, and what happened instead. Keep reports factual, remove unnecessary personal information, and say if the issue is urgent or affects account access, privacy, safety, or security.
