Game Rules

These rules keep NerdGuessr fair, playable, and welcoming across daily quizzes, solo runs, multiplayer lobbies, and community submissions.

Answer Each Round Once

Each question has one intended correct answer. Choose the option you believe is correct before the timer ends. Late, missing, or disconnected answers may count as unanswered.

No Cheating or Automation

Do not use scripts, bots, answer sharing, exploit abuse, or other unfair methods to gain an advantage. Scores, accounts, submissions, or leaderboard entries may be limited or removed when abuse is detected.

Respect Other Players

Do not harass, impersonate, spam, threaten, or share private information in lobbies, profiles, submissions, or support channels. Report safety issues with the lobby code, player name, date, time, and a short description.

Keep Submissions Suitable

Submitted questions should be accurate, playable, properly categorised, and suitable for a general trivia audience. Avoid hateful, explicit, infringing, misleading, or private content.

Moderation Decisions

NerdGuessr may review, edit, reject, hide, or remove questions, usernames, avatars, scores, lobbies, and accounts where needed for quality, safety, legality, or service integrity.

Availability and Resets

Game modes, scoring, ranks, badges, question pools, and daily challenges may change as NerdGuessr improves. Service outages or serious bugs may require score corrections, disabled features, or replayed rounds.
